The Unicoi County Heritage Museum is open seasonally and is located near Erwin, Tennessee inside a century old frame house. Inside the Unicoi County Heritage Museum, visitors will delight to find turn-of-the-century items including Blue Ridge Pottery and Cash Pottery and the museum contains an old country store exhibit, as well as railroad memorabilia from an era long gone.
The Unicoi County Heritage Museum, opened to the public on July 3rd, 1982, is located in a century-old frame house that was constructed in 1903 as the home of the first superintendent of the Erwin Fish Hatchery. Each room of the home contains interesting exhibits unique to Unicoi County.
From the Blue Ridge Pottery Room featuring hand-painted pottery from Erwin's Southern Pottery Business, to railroad memorabilia, the museum brings to life Unicoi County's history. The museum is handicapped accessible and open year-round, Tuesday - Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM and closed on major holidays.
