Our original Tennessee tours include: the Haunted Historic Erwin GhostWalk departing from the JF Toney Memorial Library; the "Haunted Historic Jonesborough GhostWalk" which is a fantastic tour of Tennessee's oldest town where you learn about the Adams, Tennessee "Bell Witch" from the popular motion picture entitled "An American Haunting" recently released; this tour departs from the Jonesborough Visitor's Center; the Haunted Historic ETSU GhostWalk takes place on the campus of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City and begins at the campus clock tower at the toll of the bell; the "Historic Tipton-Haynes GhostWalk" in Johnson City, Tennessee led by a direct decendant of the original Tipton Family who built there; The "Haunted Historic Greeneville GhostWalk" departing from the very historic General Morgan Inn; the "Haunted Historic Rogersville GhostWalk" departing from the mysterious and historic Kenner House; and the "Haunted Historic Blountville GhostWalk" departing from the Sheriff's House, also called the "Old Jail", where you'll learn about the Civil War "Battle of Blountville"...
In Virginia, our oldest tour, the "Historic Abingdon Virginia GhostWalk" departs from the Abingdon Visitors Center and is a great way to learn about the life and times of early Southwest Virginians...
Our newest tours include: "Johnson City's Little Chicago GhostWalk" where you'll learn about Al Capone and his band of gangsters as well as their occupation of the town; and in the Spring of 2008 through 2009, we will begin offering several new tours providing our guests with additional haunted and historic locations to choose from including: "Bristol, Tennessee and Virginia's Birthplace of Country Music GhostWalk" (June 2008) and the "Haunted Historic Kingsport Walking and Bus Tours"; and in Southwest Virginia the "Haunted Historic Saltville GhostWalk", historically referred to as the "Salt Capital of the Confederacy"; and finally, our future Ghostly Bus Tours will include the haunted historic locations of Asheville, Knoxville, Brown Mountain, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, the Smoky Mountains, as well as Sullivan, Greene, Hawkins, Carter, and Washington Counties of upper Northeast Tennessee...
Appalachian GhostWalks and Ghost Tours operate year round, but advance reservations are required and tours tend to sell out quickly so don't delay, book early. To schedule a tour, simply call us at (423) 743-WALK (9255) for reservations! Just pick a location and let us know the number of folks in your group and what time you'd like to start. The nightly time of departure for all of our tours is at dusk, or from 5 PM to 8 PM depending upon the time of the year and when the sunsets... |
