"Spook and Slumber" Package
| "Spook and Slumber" is part of our "Spook and Save" discount vacation planning program and was initiated to offer our out-of-town guests an easier way to plan their vacation while saving money on their accommodations when combining one, or more of our lantern-led haunted and historic tours with their stay. What follows is basic information and instructions on how to make the most out of the resources found further down on this page... | |
 | Our "Spook and Slumber" accommodations providers offer a variety of very comfortable and reasonably priced arrangements with something to fit every budget. These include modern hotels, 'old-world' style inns, and historic bed and breakfasts. Strolling the brick sidewalks along the Main Street in each of the towns where these discounted accommodations are available, our guests will walk the same paths taken by pioneers and early former presidents. Appalachian GhostWalks Tours take you back to an earlier time where a storyteller, who is also an informed local Historian, escorts you and your travel companions deeper into the historic events of the town and its people... |
| Jonesborough - Tennessee's Oldest Town, lies at the heart of America's First Western Frontier and is the most central part of the region we serve. We recommend this location to all of our guests for lodging and accommodations as a central "hub" to accommodate our multi-day vacationers. Outside of Jonesborough other "Spook and Slumber" partners offer arrangements for our guests who might be looking for a shorter, one or two day stay. Most of the hospitality providers featured on this page embody tremendous history. In fact, they may even boast frequent ghostly visitors from the past. We have made it easy to identify where to stay - or where "not" to stay, depending on your travel preferrences and level of comfort with these "spirited" locations as follows... | |
 | This in mind, these "spirited" accommodations are identified by a ghost which is marked "Haunted". Accommodations with tremendous history, but are only suspect of hosting one - or more "People of the Past" can be identified by a ghost marked "Historic". Family oriented accommodations which are appropriate for families, or groups with small children are identified by a ghost marked "Family". Also, it should be noted that some locations marked "Family" may also have a resident spirit, or two. Feel free to ask when you call for reservations for your long, or short-term vacation as to whether or not a property might offer more than is generally listed on their official website... |
| RESERVATIONS: Please call (423) 743-WALK (9255) for your confirmed reservation with Appalachian GhostWalks before calling to make arrangements with any of the following hospitality providers. As the proverbial "icing on the cake", for those who are interested in enrolling and participating in our Ghostology 101 - Ghost Hunting and Dowsing Certification Class, we teach the class on location at many of the following inns and bed and breakfasts which are listed as "Haunted"... | |
