The Hale Springs Inn ~ Rogersville, Tennessee

Ongoing activity around many of the historic structures along this tour route have given way to a great number of unique and startling experiences for our guests. Many people who have taken this tour have told us that they believe it to be one of the spookiest tours! The "Hale Springs Inn" (pictured left) is one of the oldest, continually operating inns in the State. Rogersville is also host to the oldest Courthouse in the State and the site of Tennessee's first Post Office. The town even had it's very own "underground railroad" used to smuggle slaves to points north before and during the Civil War...

Use the following map and directions to find Appalachian GhostWalks' Ghost Tour called "Haunted Historic Rogersville" if driving from the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, or Ober Gatlinburg, Tennessee by way of Interstates I-40 and I-81.

Directions to the "Haunted Historic Rogersville GhostWalk"
From Highway US-441 take Highway 66 North for 8.47 miles; Merge onto Interstate I-40 East for 13.77 miles; Merge onto Interstate I-81 North toward the left toward Bristol, TN; Take Exit 8 Highway US-25E toward Morristown and White Pine keeping right at the fork 0.17 miles; Now you will be on US-25E North also called Highway TN-32 North for 15.35 miles; then merge onto Highway US-11W North also called the "Lee Highway", or Highway TN-1 East toward Rogersville for approximately 18 to 19 miles until you see a Burger King on your left; Turn left at the next intersection onto Park Blvd and go approximately 0.5 miles to E Main Street; Turn right onto E Main Street and go for approximately 1 mile and turn right onto N Clay Street; at the top of the hill turn right and end in the parking lot of the Kenner House, the point of this tour's departure.
