In order to create the proper "tone" for this hauntingly, spine-tingling tour, Appalachian GhostWalks begins this GhostWalk at the ETSU clocktower. Your guide will lead you on a journey into the history and mysteries of one of Tennessee's oldest colleges, thought to be one of the most haunted universities in the Southern United States. Guests will thrill to the legends, stories and unusual happenings of the University's past as well as its ghostly present. It's just another exciting way to learn about the area's past and have fun with a chance at your very own experience with the unexplained... |

Dossett Hall East Tennessee State University | In addition, there are dozens of nearby restaurants where the group can grab a bite to eat after the tour and discuss personal ghostly encounters. Scientific investigations of the exterior of ALL historic buildings on campus which lie along this tour route were conducted including the former Sherrod Library, currently under significant remodeling. The results of our campus investigations are available on DVD from our Ghost Hunter Store. This tour meets at the new clock tower completed Summer of 2005 and begins on the hour as scheduled with the "toll of the bell". |

Use the following map and directions to find Appalachian GhostWalks' Ghost Tour called "Haunted Historic ETSU" if driving from the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, or Ober Gatlinburg, Tennessee by way of Interstates I-40, I-81, and I-26.

From Highway US-441 take Highway 66 North for 8.47 miles; Merge onto Interstate I-40 East for 13.77 miles; Merge onto Interstate I-81 North toward the left toward Bristol, TN; Take Exit 57A onto Interstate 26 East toward Johnson City for 15.5 miles; Take the Highway US-321, or Highway TN-67 Exit 32 toward Elizabethton for 0.12 miles; Turn LEFT onto Highway US-321 South and continue for 1.61 miles; Make a sharp left onto University Parkway continuing for another 0.07 miles ending at East Tn State University, 807 University Pkwy, Johnson City, TN 37614; Total Estimated Time: 1 hour, 43 minutes; Total Distance: 101.31 miles... Each GhostWalk, or Ghost Tour Package, can be arranged to fit your busy schedule whether you are native to the area, or just traveling through, but advance reservations are required. If you live locally, you can do just one tour on any night of our convenience, or if you, your family, or your tour group are looking for a fantastic weekend getaway, or a full haunted vacation you can do a multiple day itinerary combined with discounts on other area attractions and accommodations, some of which are haunted.
