The folks who operate the website of Waverly Hills Ghost Tours and Ghost Hunting Tours advise that Waverly Hills Sanatorium, which is located in Louisville, Kentucky opened in 1910 as a two-story hospital to accommodate 40 to 50 tuberculosis patients. It has since become one of the most famously haunted locations and some consider it to be one of the most haunted buildings in the Eastern United States. Most Ghost experts, however, believe that Waverly Hills Sanitorium is no more, or no less, than a huge tomb in which the spirits of those who departed there still suffer in pain, even now, in the afterlife. It has been suggested that the Ghosts and Spirits of Waverly Hills most like do not wish to be "disturbed" by the commercial nature of what has become of this site; but, we'll let you be the judge.
